✔️Episode 54: I Failed My Challenge

all the things podcast business coach random musings May 22, 2021

It’s  Saturday morning at 7:37 AM  sitting on my couch with a giant coffee in my underwear. Getting ready to go to the gym in 20 minutes. And this episode is a little bit of procrastination from that. So I have been doing a 30-day podcast challenge for everyday Am I am recording a podcast quickie just sharing some tips or thoughts or things that are going on. And I'm gonna be honest about something. I forgot to record a podcast episode yesterday. And I was lying in bed last night I was like “Oh shit, I'll just record it now”. It was already after midnight. So today I'm gonna record two to make up for it. Because that's what I'm doing. I'm committed to that. It also gave me a quick lesson for everyone this morning, which was something that I really tried to subscribe to in my life and in my business, and it's doing the hardest thing first in the morning

What is your hardest thing as a human? What is your hardest thing in business? And I like to get it out of the way early. When I have the hardest thing like lingering around. It stresses me the fuck out. Like I feel like I expend so much energy thinking about doing the thing before I do the thing that by the time I do the thing. I'm like, why don't I just get that done earlier. So I actually tried to just completely avoid that part and get the thing done first. So for me, it was a good lesson that I love to do this podcast, but there's a lot of things going on in my life. And so just like I get up and make my coffee and meditate, I have to get up, make my coffee, meditate and record my daily podcast. What is the hardest thing that typically you do every day that you need to do and get out of the way before you move on with your day? Maybe that's putting a post on Instagram. Maybe that's blogging, maybe that's going to the gym You know, maybe some days it's having a hard conversation with someone, whatever that thing is, do you try to get it done early and get it out of the way so it's not consuming your life? I would love to know. Shoot me a DM on Instagram a @reginaalawrence.

With that, I'm going to go get ready and stop procrastinating and go to the gym and I will see you guys next time on the podcast.
